Mandatory Safety Signs

The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations layout the requirements for safety signs.

Importantly they state - Where your risk assessment has identified a hazard, and a significant risk still remains after taking remedial action, warnings or further information will be required.

BLUE (Mandatory)

must be used for:

any MANDATORY sign requiring a specific action or behaviour.  These signs must be round
