Prohibition Safety Signs

The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations layout the requirements for safety signage.

Importantly it states  -  Where your risk assessment has identified a hazard, and a significant risk still remains after taking remedial action, warnings or further information will be required.

RED (Prohibition)

must be used for:

prohibition sign in respect of dangerous behaviour.  They must be round with a black pictogram on a white background, with a red edging and diagonal red strike through.

danger alarm, concerning stop, shutdown, evacuate, fire fighting equipment
